But we are anywhere you want us to be, for we can bring to you anywhere in the world all of the Masterclass functions, other than the residential Diploma Course, which happens only in Scotland.

The Malt Masterclass has an office at 9A Duke Street in Leith, the port of Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city, but we have put on Tasting and Training sessions and set up our still and distilled whisky in Gleneagles, Peebles Hydro Hotel, Crieff Hyrdo Hotel, Scone Palace, Myres Castle, The Balmoral Hotel Edinburgh, the Caledonian Hotel Edinburgh, the Corinthian Club in Glasgow, Borthwick Castle, Dundas Castle as well as in offices and factories. One base for the north of Scotland is Castle Leod, which is near Strathpeffer, a few miles north of Inverness. There are several distilleries within a half-hours drive and Speyside is about an hour away.

Castle Leod is an original 14th-Century Scottish highland keep, with later additions, all in the Scottish baronial style. The castle stands at the foot of the Glen in the Cromarty estate.

John Cromarty has very kindly allowed us to use the Castle for Masterclass courses in Scotland. The Great Hall is used as the principal classroom, and tastings and dinners are held in the oak-panelled dining room.

Castle Leod is not usually open to the public and, among their other attributes, the Masterclasses offer an unusual opportunity for a glimpse of a mediaeval castle which is in use today, as it has been for hundreds of years, as a family home.
